12.11. 07 Thank you to Ellwood City Hospital OB Departmentf or organizing the most amazing Chinese Auction! There were nearly 100 amazing gift baskets - themes ranged from Steelersmemorabilia, a day of pampering with a massage gift card, a “Night in at the Movies” basket withaportable DVD player, and a money tree filled with lottery tickets. The the most popular basket was the Tailgating themed one, which included FOUR Penguin tickets, a grill, cooler and snacks. Too cool! The response was really overwhelming, and it was fun to see everyone figure out which basket they wanted the most. The generosity and creativity of the Ellwood City Hospital employees was precious to us. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. Click here to see the photos.
12.14.07 Thank you to all the friends and family who joined together at Thanks a Latte on Wampum Ave. Ellwood City on Dec. 14th from 7:30-10:30 to sing Christmas carols and share in the Christmas Spirit. A basket full of coffee, tea, and other Thanks a Latte merchandise was raffeled off, there was a 50/50 drawing, and of course Santa was there for pictures!! Thanks a Latte donated all the proceeds to help with Gavin’s medical expenses.
12.22.07 A huge THANK YOU to all of the wonderful participants in the Baby Gavin Blood Drive at the Seneca Valley Intermediate High School Cafeteria . With your help and blood donations, we were able to replenish the local blood supply. This important event not only helped replace some of the blood supply that has been necessary to treat Gavin, but also helps other members of the community in need of blood to conquer their own heath issues. The Myers family was overwhelmed by the support of Seneca Valley students and teachers who gave their time & energy to help make this event a success.
12.29.07 The Blood Drive was a huge success. Thank you to all that made it out to the Wurtemburg/Perry Fire Hall and to Seneca Valley School to donate blood. The blood was donated to the Central Blood Bank of Western Pa. This means all the blood will stay in our area for any one who may need it. Not a bad way to give back to our community.
